I am a substance abuse counselor in training and I developed a very knowledgeable approach within the mental health field through providing mental health services to children, adults, and families for over 13 years. I have inherited the title of Art Guru over the years, providing a variety of coping and grounding techniques through art. I make an impact most positively on individuals with varying diagnoses and abilities. I strive to improve mental health, recovery, and general well-being. My focus is to create a comfortable, welcoming, and positive environment for individuals to feel secure while incorporating art techniques into their daily lives. As an artist, I am utilize art materials and directives to activate sensory responses and produce imagination that is directly connected to their trauma and life experiences. Implementing art in my approach is my path in guiding individuals and towards their best self. I provide group and individual approaches to teaching, modeling, and guiding artwork, to focus on building coping skills, managing stress, substance abuse, self-esteem, and trauma. I strive to continuing serving others in an enjoyable and impactful capacity.

I am a substance abuse counselor in training and hold a master degree in Human Services. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in various mental health and wellness capacities for almost twenty years. I provide services in areas of wellness management and recovery, parent coaching, psychoeducation, and individual sill development. I have a passion to help others succeed and grow in their mental health and wellness journey. I use a mindfulness approach to help clients with recognizing what is in the moment and what can be done that is in their control. I believe in the family systems approach and assisting individuals and their families with supporting one another in the recovery/growth journey. I want all client's to know that all steps, even small, matter in their change journey. I believe in motivating client's to see things from many angles and recognizing the best skills for their own personal success. I love to get clients out in the community to work through challenges to further their skills and goal completion. I love supporting others and helping them recognize their full potential.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults to overcome personal instances and to improve the well-being of clients. I am a mother to a 2-year-old boy and I enjoy spending my free time with him, being outdoors, and staying active.
